Finnair has been named the Best Airline in Northern Europe at the World Airline Awards 2011 event held in Paris. The result is that of the global Skytrax World Airline Survey which is based on passenger feedback.

In the period leading up to 2020, Norway's Statnett is planning to establish four new cable connections between Norway and continental Europe, with a total capacity of up to 4200 MW.
