UD Resklar - travel information via your mobile

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden has launched a smartphone app aimed at Swedes who are planning to travel. The app is called UD Resklar. The latest travel information on countries all around the world is now gathered in the one spot - and is only a click away on your mobile phone. The UD Resklar app* contains information on important things to think about when planning your trip. Do I need to check my insurance protection? What is the situation in the country I am planning to visit? What kind of help can I get there if bad luck strikes? And, of course, what countries does the Ministry for Foreign Affairs advise against travel to? The UD Resklar app includes tips that can save you time and money if the unexpected happens during your trip.
The Ministry's travel information is in great demand. This was especially obvious this spring. Developments in North Africa, the Middle East and Japan have led the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to change its travel information several times. It has also advised against travel to some regions. With the UD Resklar app, you can now receive security assessments from Swedish embassies direct to your mobile phone.
* app stands for application, a type of computer program that can be installed on a new generation of mobile phones usually called smart phones.
