Business breakfast on “Latest Croatian tax reform - what can taxpayers expect from the proposed set of legislative changes to the Croatian tax system?"
Nordic Chamber of Commerce organized a business breakfast and a lecture with Mazars Croatia, a member company of the Chamber, on Thursday, 21 November 2019, at Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb.
Croatian government has continued with implementing changes to the tax system since its tax reform in 2017. Latest tax reform proposes changes, amongst other, in the system of value added tax, corporate income tax and personal income tax, most of which are aimed at reducing tax burden for the taxpayers, while some relate to harmonisation of national legislation with respective EU Directives.The lecture on the topic „Latest Croatian tax reform - what can taxpayers expect from the proposed set of legislative changes to the Croatian tax system?"raiseda huge interest among members of the Chamber, mostly presented by financial managers (CFO), managers and business consultants.During the presentation the audience had opportunity to learn about key legislative changes to the Croatian tax system proposed for 2019/2020 and what can taxpayers expect from the proposed set of legislative changes to the Croatian tax system, which guest speakers, Mr Pere Mioč and Šime Prtain, showed by using concrete examples and very interesting cases.
Besides a very fruitful lecture the event was also an excellent opportunity for networking and establishment of business contacts among representatives of Nordic-Croatian business community.
