600 new jobs at ABB

The world's largest producer of electricity grids, ABB is about to hire 600 new people in Sweden as the result of winning a contract from the Dutch-German net-operator Tennet. The contract is worth SEK 6.3 billion (670million euro) with the task of connecting German windpower stations in the North Sea to the German mainland. When the project is finished they can supply over 1.5 million households on the continent with electricity. The new jobs will be in Västerås, Ludvika and Karlskrona.
