Metso to convert coal fired boiler to bio mass fired boiler in Poland

Metso has agreed with the Polish company Elektrocieplownia Tychy S. A. to convert a coal fired boiler into a bio mass fired boiler.  The order is worth some 20 million euros.
The conversion of the coal fired boiler to a biomass boiler is part of EC Tychy S. A.'s production capacity reconstruction programme.  The delivery scope includes modification works as well as a complete automation system.  The refurbished boiler plant will be in operation from October 2012 and it will generate 70 MW of heat and 40 MW electricity to the national grid.
